Epic Resources List - How to Get Awesome at ArtI often get asked how to get better at drawing and painting. While the main answer is practice there are a lot of fantastic resources that will make the journey far easier; below is a list of the ones I have personally found most useful. Some are free and some are paid, if you want the paid ones please actually buy them and support the hard-working artists that spend their valuable time providing quality education.
Also this is enough material to last you for, literally, years, so get one at a time, study it in detail, then once you're thoroughly finished move on to the next one. Reading a book or watching a dvd doesn't make you better. What makes you better is ingesting the information slowly, pondering and truly understanding it, and then applying it with diligent practice over a long period of time.
So without further ado, here is my...

So I am in desperate need for money, so I am open for commissions!
I draw stylised portraits/ “fashion illustrations” and stuff such as the the ones posted below, and throughout my blog.
Quick, Cartoon style portraits
How much would I sell them for? I was thinking about $15 NZD, which is about $12 USD.
I can also do more painterly sketches such as the following:
Note: These would cost more due to taking more time to complete, so around $25-$30
I ONLY DRAW HUMANS FOR THE TIME BEING.
Extras such as Backgrounds - if they were to be complex, I would need more time and they may be an extra cost.
I would also ask the customer to supply a reference or description, (either a drawing, photograph or written).
PLEASE NOTE that these are only digital commission, so you don’t actually get a printed, physical copy (unless you live in New Zealand, I may be able to make an exception)
Please leave me a note in my tumblr: VELOCITYRIOT or send me an email at email@example.com if you wish to order your own commission!
